Battle of Cambrai - Centenary Poster Design
We were honoured to be asked to design the Poster for the upcoming 100th Anniversary event for the Battle of Cambrai that's taking place later this month in Flesquieres, France. The poster will be displayed around the surrounding villages in France to symbolise the event.
The Deborah D-51 Tank & the Battle of Cambrai have a very close connection to us here at Chameleon. Mike's Great Grandfather & Lucie's Great-Great Grandfather, Frederick W. Tipping was killed in action inside the tank on 20th November 1917.
The Deborah D-51 Tank (a 26 ton Mark IV Female tank) lay undiscovered under the battlefields of Cambrai for decades with the crew still inside. This was a huge discovery that was made in November 1998 and you can find out more here...
